Our Team

The primary function of the Barry County Parks and Recreation Commission is the operation of Historic Charlton Park Village, Museum & Recreation Area, McKeown Bridge Park and the Paul Henry - Thornapple Trail. Responsibilities include long-range planning, developing policies, and ensuring objectives that further the mission of Barry County Parks and Barry County.

MISSION STATEMENT - Promote Barry County as a recreational and historical destination, by supporting and expanding recreation and educational opportunities, to enhance the quality of life for all.

Barry County Parks & Recreation Commission Meetings
Parks & Recreation Commission meetings are typically held on the 4th Thursday of the month, unless otherwise noted. All meetings will be held at the Tyden Center Community Room, 121 S Church St, Hastings, MI 49058 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Meetings are open to the public.
