Pesticide Disposal

Michigan Clean Sweep - Dispose of Your Unused or Unwanted Pesticides

Agribusiness, greenhouses, nurseries, pesticide dealers and individuals who sell and/or apply pesticides are eligible to dispose of unused or unwanted pesticides through the Clean Sweep program.  Please contact the nearest site manager to discuss collection specifics.

Clean Sweep is made possible by a strong and unique state, federal, local, and industry partnership. To help protect our state's natural resources and prevent agricultural pollution the State of Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) assists with the proper disposal of outdated, unused or unwanted pesticides through the Clean Sweep program. There are several Clean Sweep sites around the state, however, schedule of collections will vary from county to county. No fertilizers will be accepted as part of Clean Sweep unless they are part of a pesticide formulation. For disposal of household pesticides visit the Household Hazardous Waste page.
