GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for both staff and clients of the County Judicial system and Health Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
- Provides daily cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, offices, work areas and locker rooms.
- Empties waste baskets, ashtrays, coffee grounds and debris, Cleans baskets and changes liners as necessary. Removes trash and empties paper recycling boxes.
- Vacuums, sweeps or mops office and hall floors. Scrubs floor grout, cleans carpet and restores hard wood floors as necessary.
- Dusts and polishes furniture, baseboards, file cabinets, window ledges, mirrors and other fixtures.
- Cleans and disinfects sinks, stools and other fixtures. Cleans and polishes drinking fountains.
- Stocks rest room with towels, tissue and soap.
- Keeps cleaning cart supplied with wax, soap, toilet cleaner, towels and other supplies.
- Utilizes snow blower and shovel to remove snow and ice from walkways and steps. Spreads salt on icy surfaces.
- Changes light bulbs and furnace filters. May do minor repairs, which includes hanging boards, hooks, frames, changing lights, installing door stops, etc..
- Assists in moving books, supplies and other items.
- Assists with grounds maintenance such as weeding, raking leaves and similar tasks.
- Maintains exterior of building.
- Secures all doors and windows prior to departure.
- Performs related work as required.

Required Education and Experience
Education: High School diploma or equivalency
Experience: No Experience
•Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
