Visitation

JAIL POLICIES

  • Non-Contact Visitation
  • Jail inmates are allowed one (1) half-hour visit per week.
  • Non-contact visitation is provided with the resident and visitor(s) facing each other separated by a glass window.  Visits are offered on a first come first serve basis.
  • Visitors MUST arrive at least 10 minutes prior to start of visit.

  • Anyone under 17 must be with a  parent or guardian


All MALE & FEMALE visits, except work release will be offered by the first letter of their last name. See schedule below.

A – F / Monday
MALES 1:00pm, 1:35pm, 6:25pm, 7:00pm, 7:35pm
FEMALES 12:25, 2:10 8:10 and 9:30pm

G – L / Tuesday
MALES 1:00pm, 1:35pm, 6:25pm, 7:00pm, 7:35pm
FEMALES 12:25, 2:10 8:10 and 9:30pm

M – R / Wednesday
MALES 1:00pm, 1:35pm, 6:25pm, 7:00pm, 7:35pm
FEMALES 12:25, 2:10 8:10 and 9:30pm

S – Z / Thursday
MALES 1:00pm, 1:35pm, 6:25pm, 7:00pm, 7:35pm

WORK RELEASE VISITATION TIMES
Sunday / 9:00am, 9:30, 6:30pm and 7:05pm

Upon admission and arraignment, residents are allowed a 30-minute visit with up to 2 visitors.

PUBLIC VISITATION RULES

  • Visitors must produce identification to the Corrections Officer at the front desk to be admitted. Children accompanied by an adult do not need to produce identification. Children under 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to be admitted and no more than one (1) child may accompany each adult.
  • No smoking.
  • No profanity.
  • Any smuggling of, or attempt to smuggle, contraband or weapons into this facility will be cause for denial of the visit, termination of the visit, and permanent restriction of future visiting privileges, and/or filing of criminal charges against the offender(s). The inmate(s) involved may receive disciplinary action.  CONTRABAND IS ANYTHING NOT AUTHORIZED BY THE JAIL
  • Intoxicated or obnoxious visitors will be asked to leave. No obscene language will be tolerated.
  • Visitors must be dressed in a socially accepted manner. Clothing must not be sexually suggestive or revealing in any way. Those dressed in a non-socially accepted manner may be denied visit.

Any infractions of the above mentioned rules will result in the immediate termination of your visit at the Barry County Jail.
