Fingerprinting

If you need to be fingerprinted for licensing or job related activities, you may report to the Sheriff Office during the posted business hours. You must have your Michigan Driver’s License or a Michigan State ID card with your current address on it. You must be a Barry County resident. There is a $15 fee per card for this service. Additional state fees may apply.

Fingerprinting must be completed for various statutory reasons. Some of those purposes are for criminal justice employment, employment of teachers and CCWP processing. The officer taking the fingerprints needs to type all the biographical information and walk the person through the process.  Prints are taken by a corrections officer and the waiting time may vary due to officer availability.
