Overview
The Barry County Adult Drug Court is a felony probation drug treatment program for drug and/or addicted or abusing probationers who have demonstrated a need for enhanced supervision. The Adult Drug Court connects participants with mental health and substance abuse treatment, rewards success with incentives, and addresses non-compliance with immediate sanctions. The Adult Drug Court reflects a collaborative effort between the presiding judge, probation staff, case management staff, local law enforcement, treatment staff, defense attorneys, and the prosecutor's office. The Adult Drug Court mission includes successfully rehabilitating substance addicted and abusing individuals by providing appropriate intervention through treatment, rehabilitative programming, incentives, sanctions, and monitoring while maintaining community safety.
