More than One Case in the State of Michigan. Payers who have more than one active child support case in the State of Michigan are required to pay all current child support on all cases. This does affect how payees receive support and payment on arrears. When a payment is made, it will be applied to all cases therefore the monthly child support obligation may not be met, as Michigan law only allows for an employer to take 50% of net income. It is the payer’s responsibility to remit any amount not made by income withholding.
